[May 2017] The paper AI and the Origins of the Functional Programming Language Style has been published in Minds and Machines. A pdf of the final version of the manuscript is available here.

[Feb 2016] The book ENIAC In Action (written with Tom Haigh and Crispin Rope) has been published by MIT Press.

[Oct 2015] The paper I wrote with Davod Nofre and Gerard Alberts, "When Technology became Language", has been awarded the inaugural SIGCIS Mahoney Prize for an outstanding article in the history of computing and information technology.

[Apr 2014] The website for the ENIAC In Action project has gone live, hosting papers and technical reports about the history of the ENIAC.

[Jan 2014] My book, A Science of Operations, has been awarded a Special Commendation in the 2013 Fernando Gil International Prize in Philosophy of Science.

[2013] I am currently working on an extended project, in collaboration with Tom Haigh and Crispin Rope, investigating the history of ENIAC and in particular its conversion in 1948 to run programs written in an EDVAC-style order code.
