About me

I am Senior Research Fellow at the National Museum of Computing and I write on the history and philosophy of computing.

In previous lives, I have been a maths teacher, a software developer, a lecturer in computing at the University of Westminster, and an Alexander Technique teacher.

I have a PhD in Science and Technology Studies from UCL, an MSc in Database and Information Systems from Birkbeck College, London, and a BA (hons) in Mathematics and Philosophy from Oxford University.

Originally from Edinburgh, I now live in South London.
